Quiñenco S.A., a company with operations in Chile, invests in businesses operating in the financial and industrial sectors. With US$71 billion in assets under control, it is one of Chile's greatest commercial giants. Grupo Luksic in Chile owns Quienco, which was founded in 1957 by Andrónico Luksic.81% of Quiñenco's shares are owned by the Luksic family. According to a Forbes report, the Luksic family is the fourth wealthiest family in Latin America. In 2013, Andrónico Luksic Craig was elected chairman of the holding company Quiñenco. In 1978, he was initially named a director of Quiñenco.
One of Quiñenco's main subsidiaries is Banco de Chile, which is one of the largest banks in Chile in terms of assets and market share. The bank offers a wide range of financial products and services to individuals and businesses, including savings accounts, checking accounts, loans, credit cards, insurance, and investment services. Another significant subsidiary of Quiñenco is CCU, which is a leading brewer and beverage company in Latin America. CCU produces and distributes beer, soft drinks, bottled water, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. Quiñenco also has investments in other companies, including Enex, which operates a chain of fuel stations in Chile, and Madeco, which manufactures and distributes copper products, including wire, tubing, and strips.
The company is listed on the Santiago Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the IPSA index, which is a benchmark index of the Chilean stock market.
