Enko Maputo
Enko Maputo is one of the best international schools in Mozambique. It is an international elementary and secondary school. With a rich past, this school is lively and hospitable.
The Cambridge primary and secondary curriculum, which includes the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and IGCSE, is available. It is a member of the rapidly expanding Enko Education Group, an African international school network that assists students in gaining admission to the top universities worldwide.
Enko Maputo is approved by Cambridge to teach the Primary and Secondary curriculum, and by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) to teach the Diploma Program. Students in grades 1 through 11 and in grades 12 through 13 are served by these supplementary programs, respectively. The primary levels will be offered by Enko Maputo so that students can easily follow the global system.
Students aged 5 to 11 receive a comprehensive education at Enko Maputo through the internationally recognized Cambridge Primary curriculum. Across subjects like English, Mathematics, Sciences, Global Perspectives, Portuguese, Physical Education, ICT (Information and Communication Technology), Art, and Music, the curriculum places a strong emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving, and the development of fundamental skills.
Enko Maputo places a high priority on learning English while also assisting in Portuguese when necessary to facilitate comprehension. Effective progress monitoring is ensured through continuous assessment, which includes midterm and final exams as well as the Grade 6 Cambridge checkpoint exam.
The Cambridge Lower Secondary students also study science, math, and global perspectives in English, Portuguese, and English. Mozambique offers classes in physical education, arts and design, geography and history, and PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health & Careers Education).
The Cambridge Lower Secondary course lasts three years, from Grade 7 to Grade 9. After completing Grades 7 or 8 in another school, students are eligible to join. It may be feasible for students who perform exceptionally well academically to move to the Cambridge Upper Secondary – IGCSE course more quickly. In addition to monthly assessments, students take the Cambridge Checkpoint exams.
Students at Enko Maputo take IGCSE courses in grades 10 and 11 as they get ready for the eight-subject awards. They are therefore eligible to receive the Cambridge International Certificate of Education. PSHCE (Personal, Social, Health & Careers Education), physical education, and geography and history of Mozambique are taught to students.
The world's greatest university preparatory program is the IBDP. Six subjects are studied by all IBDP students: three at the Higher Level and three at the Standard Level. A minimum of two languages, mathematics, science, and humanities must be included in the curriculum. Every student completes an extended essay (research paper), a course in Theory of Knowledge (ToK), and participation in a CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) program.
