Česká Spořitelna Bank is a member of Erste Group, a leading financial services provider in Central and Eastern Europe. The bank was founded in 1825 as the first savings bank in the Austro-Hungarian Empire and became a joint-stock bank wholly owned by Erste Group Bank in 1991. Over the years, it expanded its operations and services to become a leading provider of financial products and services in the Czech Republic.
Česká Spořitelna is the second-largest in the Czech Republic by total assets, with assets totaling approximately CZK 1,640 billion at the end of 2022. Besides, it ranked as the largest bank in terms of the number of clients with more than 4.5 million. Up to now, Česká Spořitelna has an extensive network of 398 branches, over 1,700 ATMs and pay-in machines all over the country.
