Espeo Software
Complex event processing (CEP) and Event stream processing (ESP) use Esper, an open-source Java software package that analyzes event streams to draw conclusions. When it comes to its engine and business structure, Esper goes above and beyond the SQL-92 standard by including features like Aggregate function, Pattern matching, event windowing, and joining. Event-driven programming and event-driven architecture are both supported in the Esper framework.
The software company EsperTech Inc. developed Esper in 2006. It provides access to Event Processing Language (EPL), a domain-specific language designed for handling events. EPL is a Declarative programming language used for real-time event analysis and detection.
Although originally written in Java, Esper has been ported to C# and is now available for the.NET Framework as NEsper. The Esper Enterprise Edition from EsperTech Inc. has been designed to meet the needs of large organizations. If there are five or more order events within a three-minute span, as shown in this example, the query will immediately output a row.
