Terveystalo

Terveystalo is a healthcare provider based in Finland. Terveystalo serves individuals, businesses, insurance providers, and the government at more than 180 locations across Finland, providing primary care, occupational medicine, and hospital care. Terveystalo has been around since the 1940s, when the first of the company's daughter firms was established.

In 2001, Terveystalo got its start when Vaajakosen Lääkäriasema Oy and the Medipa Oy clinics in Alajärvi, Kauhava, and Härmä all joined the company. From 2002 to 2007, the corporation expanded by more than a hundred corporate and business agreements, and that expansion has continued. The company's listing on Nasdaq Helsinki in the beginning of 2007 undoubtedly played a role in this expansion.

In June 2007, Suomen Terveystalo Oyj paid EUR127,000,000 to acquire Medivire Työterveyspalvelut Oyj, a company that had been in operation since 1995. The merger made Suomen Terveystalo Oyj the largest private healthcare provider in Finland.[3][4] The company formerly known as Medivire Työterveyspalvelut Oy changed its name in December 2007 to Suomen Terveystalo Työterveyspalvelut Oy; however, the former name was retained as an alternate.
