Everything Everywhere All at Once
In this Multiverse adventure by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, Michelle Yeoh (the actress in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and "Crazy Rich Asians") gives a magnificent performance. "Everything Everywhere All At Once", featuring Michelle Yeoh and the iconic Vietnamese actor Ke Huy Quan (best remembered for his amazing performance as "Short Round" in "Indiana Jones" as a child actor) is easily one of the best multiverse movies of all time.
In the narrative of "Everything Everywhere All at Once", Evelyn Wang (played by Yeoh), the owner of a lowly laundromat, is sinking into unpaid debts and fighting off IRS notices over her unpaid taxes. To make things worse, Evelyn's husband of 25 years, Waymond (by Ke Huy Quan), has decided he wants a divorce. Meanwhile, Joy, the couple's lesbian daughter, has reached her breaking point due to her parents' unwillingness to acknowledge her for who she is.
After being called to her office by the aggressive IRS agent Deirdre for tax debt, Evelyn discovers herself in the midst of an inter-universe journey that places her at the center of the multiverse itself. Evelyn must seek the fortitude to battle her way across several parallel worlds, in which each incarnation of her has achieved greater life achievements than she currently does.
