Fali S Nariman
Fali Sam Nariman (born 10 January 1929) is an Indian lawyer. He served as Chief Adviser to the Supreme Court of India since 1971 and served as President of the Indian Bar Association from 1991 to 2010. Attorney Nariman is an internationally recognized attorney in the field of international arbitration. He was awarded the 19th Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award for Excellence in Public Administration in 2018. He is one of the most prominent Indian constitutional scholars and has worked on several major cases. He remained as General Counsel in India from May 1972 to June 1975.
Furthermore, he has been awarded the Padma Bhushan (1991), Padma Vibhushan (2007)[6] and the Gruber Prize for Justice (2002) for tenure (1999–2005).
Fali Sam Nariman is one of India's most popular lawyers, winning several prestigious lawsuits during his illustrious career, including the famous Needle Business (1981) on corporate law. The 93-year-old lawyer has been working in this field since 1951.
