K K Venugopal
Kottayan Katankot Venugopal (born 6 September 1931) is an Indian Constitutional Lawyer and Senior Lawyer at the Supreme Court of India. On 1 July 2017, he was appointed Minister of Justice of India. He is the patron saint of SAARCLAW (local upper body of SAARC) and was previously president. He holds an M.K. for Advanced Law Studies at NALSAR Law University.
KK Venugopal is India's premier lawyer with an unmatched instinct for constitutional matters. The 91-year-old Chennai-based lawyer moved to Delhi in 1990 after the famous Mandala Commission case. K.K. Venugopal, a distinguished Chief Justice of the Supreme Court from Kerala. A very senior lawyer, he, at the age of 86, is still representing a very professional example. Known to charge INR 5 to 7.5 lacs per appearance, he is a very successful lawyer in his own right.
