Four Weddings and a Funeral

Mike Newell directed the romantic comedy film Four Weddings and a Funeral in 1994. Hugh Grant stars in the films, and it follows Charles (Grant) and his group of friends through a series of social occasions as each of them meets romance.

With a worldwide box office total of $245.7 million and Academy Award nominations for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay, the film was created in six weeks for under £3 million and became an unexpected triumph and the highest-grossing British film in history at the time. Four Weddings and a Funeral was ranked 23rd among the 100 best British films of the twentieth century by the British Film Institute in 1999. It was named 21st on Empire magazine's list of the 100 finest British films of 2016.
