Friends Library
Friends Library is tiny but well-filled (with around 18,000 Hindi, English, and Marathi volumes) from the basement to the attic. Moreover, the loft is also their children's area and a counter for binding and courier (open to all).
The children's area is organized into toddlers, children, and preteens sections; many people have discovered books from this library that they haven't seen anywhere since childhood, which is really uplifting. Other (adult) areas include self-help, travel, cooking, management, health, spirituality, interior design, literature, romance, etc. Even the Friends Library has a great selection of comic strips and graphic novels, like Amar Chitra Katha, Archie, Obelix, and Agatha Christie! There is always a library assistant available to assist you with a book or magazine pick, so don't be overwhelmed by all the options.
Current membership at Friends Library begins at Rs 300 per month, and there are around 2000 members now! There is also a refundable deposit of Rs 600). The fees are variable (if you want to take more than one book per week) and may climb up to Rs 450 each month. Also, you will get your own library card!
