Galería OMR
Patricia Ortiz Monasterio and Jaime Riestra, the firm's principals, launched OMR in 1983. The gallery is located in Mexico City's Roma quarter, which is now known as the city's primary art scene region. The Observer wrote in August 2019 that OMR is "one of the city’s longest-running and largest blue-chip galleries" and noted that the majority of their buyers are "foreign collectors".
The gallery promotes both new and established contemporary artists, and it is the exclusive representative of Adolfo Riestra, Luis Ortiz Monasterio, and Alberto Gironella's estates. Since its inception, OMR has had a significant impact on the arts in Mexico, exhibiting avant-garde artists who have since become some of the Mexican art scene's pivotal figures. Freize (Los Angeles), Zona MACO (Mexico), Art Basel (Switzerland), Art Brussels (Belgium), and Art Basel Miami are among the fairs in which the gallery participates (USA). In 2009, OMR developed a project area for young artists called 'el52' in an extension.
