(G)Idle
(G)I-dle is a multi-national girl group under Cube Entertainment. There are five people in the group: Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. The title track "Latata" from (G)I-dle's debut mini-album "I am" was released on May 2, 2018.
The group released their third EP "I Trust" after signing with Republic Records in the US in 2020, becoming just the fourth girl group to sell 100,000 copies of an album in its first week. The girl group's 2020 single album Dumdi Dumdi went on to become the second-best-selling single album of all time. Unlike the majority of K-pop girl groups, (G)I-dle play an active role in the production of their music. Soyeon, Minnie, and Yuqi, in particular, have contributed to and produced the majority of the group's songs. (G)I-dle were dubbed "monster rookies" in 2018, and are now regarded as one of the most popular South Korean girl groups to come from outside the "big three" record labels.
