Stray Kids is an eight-member boy group under JYP Entertainment. (G)I-dle is a multi-national girl group under Cube Entertainment. There are five people in the group: Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. The title track "Latata" from (G)I-dle's debut mini-album "I am" was released on May 2, 2018.

The group made their debut with the self-titled single album "Star To A Young Culture", which includes two songs "Like This" and lead single "So Bad". The music video for the album's lead single, "So Bad" was released on November 12 and attracted over 2.6 million views on its first day. Their album was released on the same day and went on to sell more than 4,300 copies, which is a record for a girl group's debut in 2020. It went on to sell more than 10,000 copies in its first week, making history as the first girl group debut album to do so in 2020.
