Glenmuir

Glenmuir is a renowned golf knitwear and apparel company founded in Lanark, Scotland in 1891. It has been the shirt and jersey supplier of choice for European Ryder Cup teams for the past 25 years. The Glenmuir factory and factory stores are located at 2729 Delves Road, Lanark, Scotland ML11 9DX. Their factory shop is open from 10:00 to 16:00 (closed Monday-Saturday and Sunday).

Glenmuir's long-standing relationship with the Ryder Cup began in 1987 when Tony Jacklin led the first European team to lift a trophy on "foreign lands" in Muirfield Village, USA. After this victory in 1513, the partnership between Glenmuir and the Ryder Cup European Committee became one of the longest-running partnerships in the world of advanced professional sports. Glenmuir was the preferred supplier of shirts and jerseys from 1987 to 2014.

The Ruia Group acquired Glenmuir in 2002. The Ruia Group, which owns the Sock Shop, is a family-owned textile business based in Lancashire. In November 2009, under the agreement between Glenmuir and Sunderland of Scotland, Glenmuir became the official European distributor of Sunderland of Scotland golf products.
