John Letters
John Letters is a Scottish golf club manufacturer. Founded in Glasgow in 1918 as Letters Logan & Company, the company was rescued from bankruptcy in 2005 and continued under new ownership and a new name, John Letters. The company is famous for its Golden Goose sticks, which the company released in 1946. The John Letters Trilogy Range increased their overall earnings, but unfortunately could no longer compete in the 1949 Ryder Cup tournament because income was cheaper in the Far East at the time. 1 in 10 of the UK team used a John Letters stick.
Notable players who have used the John Letters club include Fred Daly, Bernard Gallagher, Dai Rees, Lee Trevino, Cathy Panton, Sam Torrance, Gary Player, and Paul Laurie.
