Gorgona Island
Gorgona Island is the next name on the list of the best dive spots that Toplist has compiled for you. It is made up of two major islands, Gorgona and Gorgonilla, and is known locally as Parque Nacional Natural Isla Gorgona. The marine area of the national park that encompasses the island is 97.5 percent, so there will be plenty of opportunities to dive.
It is difficult to decide which of the more than 15 submersion sites is the best to visit. If you are a beginner, you are recommended to visit the eastern section, which is known for its calm waters. On the other hand, the western part is ideal for experienced divers looking for a thrilling adventure. Gorgona Island has diverse underwater wildlife, including humpback whales, barracudas, whitetip reef sharks, and giant manta rays, among other things, just like the other dive sites in Colombia. Between July and October, it is a great place to go scuba diving and a great place to see humpback whales.
