Gramps Bar
Gramps is a hipster bar near Miami's design district that occasionally features live music, comedy shows, and bingo nights. It's also famous for its powerful air conditioning, happy hour specials, and occasional drag shows, but the bar will advertise those when they happen. Gramps is not exactly a homosexual bar, but it is vocal and unapologetically. The LGBT-friendly Wynwood Pub also hosts the greatest weekly drag party in town, Double Stubble. Every Thursday at 9 p.m., Miami's drag scene comes alive with beautiful performances—and this isn't your regular drag. Performances here are avant-garde, out-of-this-world displays of ingenuity and intensity.
The name says it all: air conditioning, beer, and drinks. In perennially hot Miami, what more could you want? Perhaps weekly karaoke or a rotating selection of local beers on tap? Don't forget about the drinks (especially the Moscow mule). After a couple of those, go outside and have a piece of Pizza Tropical, Gramps' own modest eatery. This Wynwood pub is famous for a reason, and it also features live comedy (Hannibal Buress and Eric Andre have swung by for surprise appearances) and lives music from rising musicians like Angel Olsen and Mitski. This is one of the best gay clubs in Miami for a hot night out.
