The name of this gay-friendly hotel, which bills itself as "straight-friendly," says it all. The design is a mishmash of antique Americana and tropical '50s elegance, with unique squat areas like a repurposed vintage dentist chair. It's a haven from the chaos of South Beach, housed in a mid-century edifice off Lincoln Road.

The music and television are never too loud to have a discussion. The concierge service turns guests into "instant natives," and there are no infants at this 21-and-up establishment. Check out Wednesday trivia night, '90s Thursdays, a 'happy' hour when you can come in after work for dirt cheap drinks, and Bares & Hares, which accepts otters, wolves, pigs, and "even the Beavers," according to the website. Above all, you may get a glass of dildo or buttplug—or even a bottle of lemonade—from the bar's vending machine. Hotel Gaythering is one of the best gay clubs in Miami for a hot night out.
