Great Nicobar Island – Encounter The Largest Island In India
The Great Nicobar Island is India's largest ocean island and one of the most beautiful islands in India. Its crystal clear water will entice you to take a dip and let go of your inhibitions. A large portion of the island is covered by dense forests which are home to a variety of endemic biodiversity including the Nicobar megapode, the Nicobar tree shrew, and the Nicobar long-tailed macaque. Once on the island, tourists must meet officials from the Forest Department in Campbell Bay to arrange visits to the Biosphere Reserve and Galathea National Park. Indira Point is an important part of tourism on Great Nicobar Island. The country's southernmost point has been renamed Indira Gandhi Point.
