Great weather all year round
Everyone is most worried about the weather when they are traveling. "Will it be very cold? Is it really so hot?" However, you do not need to worry about the weather if you are planning a trip to Guatemala because the tropical climate is comfortable all year long. This thing is one of the reasons to visit Guatemala. The climate in Guatemala is generally warm and tropical, with daytime highs and lows typically falling between 70°F and 90°F all year round. The hottest months are March and April, with the rainy season from May to October providing relief from the frequently oppressive humidity with afternoon showers and sporadic thunderstorms.
The rainy season is the wettest in the north and east of the country, so it's not the greatest time to travel to Tikal or the coast (unless you want to be soaked in a tropical rainstorm), but it's ideal for visiting Antigua, Lake Atitlan, and Quetzaltenango in the Central and Western Highlands. The best time to visit the tropical north and beaches is during the drier winter months. The Highlands are bright and sunny during the day but may get rather chilly at night, especially up in the mountains and at altitude, where it's normal for overnight temperatures to drop below freezing. As a result, you should absolutely carry thick clothing.
