Gregg Popovich
Gregg Charles Popovich (born January 28, 1949) is the president and head coach of the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA) (NBA). Popovich has been the coach of the Spurs since 1996, making him the NBA's and all other major sports leagues' longest-serving active coach. Coach Pop or just "Pop" is his nickname. In his first 22 full seasons as head coach, Popovich led the Spurs to a winning record, surpassing Phil Jackson for the most consecutive winning seasons in NBA history. The Spurs have won games against every other NBA team during his tenure.
Gregg Popovich is widely recognized as one of the best coaches in NBA history, having won several titles such as NBA champion, three-time NBA Coach of the Year, and three SCIAC championships. From 1999 through 2014, Popovich coached the Silver and Black to five NBA Championships, making him one of only five coaches in NBA history to win five or more. With a net worth of $40 million, he is considered as one of the highest-paid NBA coaches in history as well as one of the richest coaches in the world.
