Highlights of a trip to Austria
There are numerous incredible experiences and activities available in Austria. Austria has everything for everyone, from icy ski slopes to lush green woods and mountains to luxury shopping and historic tiny villages. These are just many highlights from the trip to Austria, but here are some of them:
- Vienna – magical capital of Austria. Stroll through this gorgeous city and enjoy the art, culture, and food it has to offer.
- Salzburg – There are some fantastic scenic walks and modern eateries to enjoy here, as well as being the birthplace of Mozart. Visit Hohensalzburg Castle as well as the city's Old Town.
- Skiing – St. Anton is one of Europe's top ski resorts, and for serious skiers, I'd recommend spending at least part of your trip there. The apres-ski scene here is superb, with excellent food and drinking options.
- Innsbruck – The capital of Tyrol, Austria's westernmost state, is a picturesque town nestled in the Austrian Alps. The Court Church, City Tower, and Nordkette are three of the city's most well-known landmarks.
- Hallstatt – This is Austria's most picture-perfect town. It's most likely the city you've seen on Instagram the most. If you want to get away from the large cities and enjoy more natural beauty, it's a great area to visit for a day trip from Salzburg.
