Holy Rosary Academy is a K–12 autonomous classical Roman Catholic school. The Academy was established in 1987 by a group of Catholic parents in Anchorage who wanted a school where their children's academic success would be significantly impacted by a solid Catholic education. Holy Rosary Academy now boasts more than 160 pupils in grades K–12, up from a modest student body of just 18 when it first opened.


According to The Greatest Private High School in Every State and Catholic High School Honor Roll, Holy Rosary Academy is both the best private high schools in Alaska and a top Catholic high school nationwide. The academic emphasis of the school is on classical education, emphasizing Latin and Greek as well as the core academic abilities of reading, writing, and mathematics, as well as philosophical philosophy.


Holy Rosary Academy is a member of the Institute for Catholic Liberal Education and has received accreditation from the National Association of Private Catholic Independent Schools. The school has more than 70% of its staff who hold master's degrees in their subject and are passionate about inspiring students both inside and outside the classroom.
