HometoGo's main benefit is that it's a meta-search engine, which means you can search many of the finest vacation rental sites (including most of the ones on this list) with just one click. Persistent pop-ups and requests to sign in with Google or Facebook are bothersome, but once you've gotten rid of them, you'll be able to see a ton of properties, all of which are shown in a tidy listing style or on a map. Each item includes scrollable photographs, a user rating, the kind of hotel, and a link to reserve the facility (such as Airbnb, Hotels.com, or Vrbo).

When you click "view offer," you'll usually be transported to the site where the property was first advertised. However, there are times when you'll go to a HometoGo listing page and submit a booking request, which will subsequently be fulfilled by one of the site's partners.

When I went over to a bargain (especially on Airbnb), I was periodically brought to a list of alternative rentals in my location rather than to the home I was interested in. Unfortunately, travelers will be acquainted with this from other meta-search engines; occasionally a particular bargain is just no longer accessible. I've also found that the price on HometoGo didn't always match what was offered on the original website.
