Tripping

Tripping, which was acquired by HometoGo in 2019, is another vacation rental meta-search service that pulls listings from hundreds of various websites, including several on our list. I noticed a number of overlapping characteristics when I searched HometoGo and Tripping side by side, but the results did not appear to be fully similar. (For example, a search for Rome yielded 8,800+ listings on HometoGo against more than 14,000 properties on Tripping.)

Despite the fact that the two sites are owned by the same firm and have nearly identical designs and filters, it may be worthwhile to visit both. Tripping's main results page has a large map view alongside the listings. Tripping, like HometoGo, shows hotels and hostels as well as flats and houses.

When you click "see offer," you'll be taken to a separate website where you can get more information and make a reservation. There were a few snafus in this procedure, as there were with HometoGo: pricing didn't match, properties weren't available, or (in one case) I got a dead-end error page. However, in the vast majority of cases, the postings were exactly as described.

Best feature:
Both Tripping and HometoGo offer a new "flexible dates" function that allows you to search for the best rates for a specific length of stay (such as a week or a long weekend).
