Honma

Honma is by far the largest and most famous Japanese manufacturer, and for good reason. Honma has been a massive supplier of the highest quality handmade clubs for decades. Demand is often so high that Honma cannot meet production requirements. This is a disadvantage if they are individually produced in Sakata, Japan rather than fully industrial production in China.

Honma is also famous for the Beres series. A set of Beres irons can be purchased for over €3,000, even in the cheapest version. Also, a five-star set can cost nearly 50,000 euros. Then the mace is decorated with gold, and the shaft is of very high quality, incomparable to anything else. The Beres shafts are handcrafted by Honma and are very light and smooth, yet have very good torque values. This is what makes the Beres Club special.

However, Honma also rises to popularity through the Tour World series, which has also featured Justin Rose as a brand ambassador since the beginning of 2019. The new Tour Worlds deliver the usual Honma quality, handforged soft steel irons for relatively little money. Starting from 1109€ you can already get a complete iron set of 5PW and that with high quality shafts without surcharges.
