House of Bluebird (2015)

House of Bluebird is a South Korean television series that premiered in 2015, starring Lee Joon-hyuk, Chae Soo-bin, Lee Sang-yeob, and Kyung Soo-jin. From February 25 through August 9, 2015, it aired on KBS2 on Saturdays and Sundays at 19:55 (KST) for 50 episodes. The scion of a formerly prosperous traditional land-owning family Kim Ji-wan (Lee Joon-hyuk) was raised as an orphan by his stepmother and grandmother when his father died and his family's riches were lost.

Ji-wan sacrifices his pride and utilizes nepotism to join Nuga Global, a multinational medical equipment firm, in order to care for his family. When Jang Tae-soo (Lee Sang-yeob), Nuga's CEO and a friend of Ji-wan's father, takes him under his wing, he is initially appreciative. Long-hidden mysteries, such as how Jiwan father's died and came to lose his riches, begin to unravel when the lives of Ji-wan's family and Tae-soo intersect again. Desperate to protect the business and reputation he has built Tae-soo uses a secret that Ji-wan's stepmother has kept from Ji-wan and his grandmother.
