On the Verge of Insanity is a 2021 South Korean television series starring Jung Jae-young, Moon So-ri, Lee Sang-yeob and Kim Ga-eun. It aired on MBC TV from June 23 to August 26, 2021, for 16 episodes. Choi Ban Seok (Jung Jae-young), a veteran engineer, works in Hanmyung Electronics' consumer electronics branch. He is a calm, warm-hearted man with a decent sense of humor who is currently experiencing the most difficult crises of his 22-year career. He switches to the Personnel Department to escape being included in a wave of layoffs. Despite his lack of understanding of its role, he concludes that it is preferable to be there than to be unemployed. Lee Sang-yeob plays Han Se-kwon, the development team leader who is related to the company group's owner.
Dang Ja Young (Moon So-ri), the newly promoted Head of Personnel, is a workaholic who aspires to be the company's first female CEO. When Ban Seok initially arrives at her department, she is unsure what to think of him. But, once they start working together, her life begins to change.
