House on the Rock infinity Room
The House on the Rock was established as a private residence by Alex Jordan Jr. and is now a combination house, inn, and resort. The house and grounds, which were designed in the manner of architect Frank Lloyd Wright and opened to the public in 1959, were continually enlarged in size over several decades. Early American heritage, music, and Christmas are all featured in different areas. Jordan continued to add antiques and other items to the house, scattering them everywhere. A big indoor carousel opened in 1981.
The Infinity Room, which debuted in 1985, became the most recognizable architectural aspect. The lengthy hallway, which is 218 feet / 66 meters long and contains almost 3,000 small windows on the sides, is supported by a triangular shaped steel truss. Near the end of the construction, there is a wide rectangular window opening in the floor.
