INSEAD Asia Campus
In 1999, INSEAD took a risk to set itself apart from other business schools by opening a campus in Asia, making it the only business school in the world to have two full-fledged campuses with permanent professors, one in Europe and the other in Asia. INSEAD provides participants a genuinely worldwide educational experience as one of the world's top and largest graduate business schools. INSEAD's business education and research span the globe, with campuses in Europe (France), Asia (Singapore), and the Middle East (Abu Dhabi), as well as collaborations with premier schools. More than 1,400 students in their degree and PhD programs are inspired by their 145 famous faculty members from 40 nations. In addition, INSEAD's executive education programs attract over 11,000 professionals each year.
INSEAD's goal in establishing the Asia Campus was to "build a bridge between Asia and the rest of the world". Lee Kuan Yew, the founder of modern Singapore, attended the campus's inauguration in 2000. Within a few years, the school realized it needed to expand the little site. The second phase of campus expansion began in 2005, and INSEAD's presence in Asia grew. The school commemorated the 10th anniversary of the Asia Campus in 2010-11 with great pleasure.
