Each biscuit is handmade using locally sourced ingredients. It’s then carefully iced by hand with incredible detail before being presented in a recyclable luxury gift box. There is a range of seasonal iced biscuits to tempt you, as well as collections suitable for baby showers, birthdays, weddings, and more. Free personalization is available on many items, too. Biscuits last up to two weeks in the presentation box, or two months if kept airtight. A percentage from each sale is donated to Farm Africa, so your generosity is two-fold.

A New York City-based cookie chain is planning its third Boston-area location: Insomnia Cookies will open at 61 Bromfield St. in Boston’s Downtown Crossing. The company — which is especially known for its late-night cookie delivery service — already operates local shops in Harvard Square and on Commonwealth Avenue near the Boston University campus. The Cambridge location opened in late 2012, followed by the Boston location the next year. The restaurant was founded in a dorm room in 2003 by University of Pennsylvania student Seth Berkowitz. The company opened its first shop in Syracuse, NY, and quickly expanded to include food trucks. Just over a decade after its founding, Insomnia Cookies opened its 50th shop; two years after that, Insomnia Cookies opened its 100th shop. The menu includes a variety of cookie flavors, as well as cookie cakes, brownies, ice cream, and “wiches” (ice cream sandwiched between two cookies).
