Kamenjak National Park
Kamenjak National Park is the next name on our list today. Kamenjak is a protruding stretch of land that juts out into the sea, measuring roughly six kilometers long and a kilometer wide on average. The mountainous coastline of Kamenjak, which stretches for 30 kilometers, is made up of multiple bays and beaches, producing an area of extraordinary natural beauty that includes 11 uninhabited islands. This national park, located on the southernmost tip of Istria, is a Croatian icon, attraction, and institution. Travelers will flock here to discover this largely undeveloped region, which is known for its six-kilometer-long peninsula with 21-meter-high cliffs. Its origins are claimed to be prehistoric, and dinosaur fossils have been discovered there.
Make a point of walking along the fittingly named Dinosaur Path, where you can still see dinosaur footprints in the limestone! The beach is modest and pebbly, yet you will leave with a newfound respect for this country and Mother Nature herself.
