Karsiborska Kępa
Karsiborska Kępa is a Polish island near Winoujcie in the northwestern part of the country. On the island, it is also the name of a natural reserve and bird sanctuary. It is considered one of the most beautiful islands in Poland.
The island is well-known for being the aquatic warbler's most important breeding ground. The Polish Society for the Protection of Birds, on the other hand, purchased 1.8 square kilometers of the island. The entire island is around 3 km2 in size and is OTOP's lone reserve. The number of aquatic warblers on the island is determined by the water level and vegetation present. The island is covered in wide meadows and pastures, as well as extensive reed beds. Marsh and Montagu's harriers, Eurasian curlew, common redshank, and bearded tit are among the other breeding birds. The white-tailed eagle, black kite, and lesser spotted eagle are among the other species. There are several flocks of geese, ducks, cranes, and waders on the route. Wild boar and, on rare occasions, otter are among the various types of fauna. Birders frequent the facility, which is conveniently located for travelers traveling to Poland via Germany.
The Karsiborska Kępa's habitat is threatened by a variety of human and environmental factors. The majority of them are caused by tourist traffic, a lack of legal protection, and business activities.
