King Eider
The King Eiders are the largest sea ducks that live in the Northern Hemisphere. The yellow knob on the duck's head, which resembles a crown virtually, gave rise to its name. The Arctic coasts of Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Svalbard, and Russia are home to the duck species. The male eiders have a red bill, a bluish-gray neck, a creamy white chest, and a black body. The warm brown overall appearance of female eiders is complemented by a black bill.
The male eiders have a lot more vibrant plumage than the female eiders do during the breeding season. The king eider travels to the Arctic tundra in the summer to nest and usually graze in freshwater ponds and lakes. Fish, squid, mollusks, crabs, sea urchins, and starfish are some of their main food sources. King eider spends most of its time on the ocean when it is not breeding.
