Kloud
Kloud is a relatively new Korean beer brand, introduced in 2014 by Lotte Chilsung Beverage, a subsidiary of the gigantic Lotte Group, and marketed as a premium brand. Although Kloud is a Korean beer, it is actually a German-style Pilsner.
The name ‘Kloud’ is made from a little bit of wordplay. As the name sounds, Kloud tastes as milky and creamy as clouds floating on a blue sky. ‘K’, however, is used instead of ‘C’ as it is the letter that represents the country name, ‘Korea’. Indulge yourself with Kloud and it won’t take a minute to fall in love with its creamy form enhanced by the rich aroma of bread and malt.
What makes Kloud unique compared to other Korean beer brands is perhaps the use of the original gravity method. By using this method, the brand made it possible to produce a fine, quality beer with fermented concentrate instead of water.
Kloud offers a variety of beer styles to cater to different preferences. Their flagship product, Kloud Original Gravity, is a classic German-style lager. It has a light and smooth flavor, making it highly enjoyable to drink. Additionally, Kloud produces other popular variations such as Kloud Fitz Super Clear, Kloud Fitz Super Dry, and Kloud IPA, each with its own unique characteristics and taste profiles.
