Know the Rules and Laws
Knowing the rules is one of the most essential things to know before traveling to Lithuania. The country has a legal drinking age of 20, which is higher than in most other European countries. All liquor stores, supermarkets, and night shops are prohibited from selling alcohol after 8 p.m. on weekdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays. If you want to drink alcohol after these hours, you'll have to go to a bar or restaurant that serves hard drinks.
For the duration of your stay, you must have a valid passport. To travel the country with ease and without problems, the passport must be valid for at least six months. Lithuania's currency is the Euro, and ATM machines can be found throughout the country to withdraw local currency. In various locations, all major credit cards are accepted. If you intend to use public transportation, you should purchase a ticket because bus police may stop buses along their route to inspect tickets.
