You Can Visit The Presidential Palace
The Presidential Palace is the official residence of the President of Lithuania, and it is located in Daukanto Square in Vilnius. In the square of Simonas Daukantas, the Presidential Palace, known as "Prezidentra" in everyday life, was built. Regardless of which way you approach Daukanto Square, a narrow street will suddenly broaden and blend into the square, which is dominated by a Classical building from the late 18th and early 19th centuries: a former nobleman's house and the current President's Office. The Baroque towers above the palace's roof help to soften the grandeur of the square.
The Lithuania's President and his Chancellery are currently based in the palace. Several foreign leaders have paid them visits in the palace. Tourists can participate in free excursions every Saturday. During the tour, you will be able to see the interior of the historic building as well as the President's office. You can also watch the solemn flag hoisting ceremony, which is held every Sunday at 12 noon for 5-10 minutes by soldiers from the Lithuanian Armed Forces' Honour Guard Company.
