Lithuania is Part of Schengen
All member states listed in the 'Schengen Treaty' can be visited with a single Schengen visa. Lithuania is one of twenty-six European countries that make up the Schengen Area. There are no customs checks or border controls within the Schengen area, so you can easily and safely travel to Lithuania's neighboring countries by road. A Schengen visa can be obtained from any Lithuanian embassy or consulate. Remember that Schengen visas are only valid for 90 days, but you can apply for a longer 'national' visa. Because a single visa can be used to visit multiple countries, travelers usually plan their trips so that they can visit multiple locations.
You must complete a Schengen Visa application form for Lithuania and obtain supporting documents, which include two recently taken passport-style photos, a passport or other travel document that is less than ten years old and valid for at least three months after your departure date from the Schengen Area, and two recently taken passport-style photos. You'll also need travel and medical insurance that covers you up to €30,000, a cover letter outlining your itinerary and the purpose of your visit, as well as a flight itinerary and proof of lodging during your stay, proof of your civil status, such as a marriage certificate, and proof that you'll be able to support yourself during your stay. When applying for Lithuania, you must show embassy staff you have at least €40 per day of your stay.
