Lake Kariba
Lake Kariba is an undiscovered gem that offers magnificent landscapes and mind-blowing sunsets. It is one among Zimbabwe's lesser-known tourism destinations. Lake Kariba also happens to be the world's largest man-made reservoir. It supports a great number of fish species, including kapenta and tigerfish, due to its ecosystem.
As a result, commercial fishing generates long-term profitability. Nile Crocodiles and Hippopotami are two more aquatic creatures that live in the lake. Elephants, Leopards, Lions, Cheetahs, and Buffalo are among the wildlife that frequent the seashore.
It is landlocked Zimbabwe's answer to the seaside: a great combination of water and animals. It is the world's largest man-made lake in terms of volume, stretching over 140 miles/220 kilometers in length and measuring 25 miles/40 kilometers across at its widest point.
Lake Kariba is known for being one of the finest sites in the world to capture tiger fish, a dangerous freshwater species, as well as for its incredible sights of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a diverse range of birds.
