Lake Suchitlan
One of the top tourist destinations in El Savaldor is the manmade lake known as Suchitlan, which is situated close to the Suchitoto town area and is known for its tremendous natural beauty and hospitable locals. Lake Suchitlan, which was created following the construction of the Cerron Grande Hydroelectric Plant, is today a major tourist destination and a source of income for the locals.
The largest freshwater lake in El Savaldor at the moment is Lake Suchitlan, which has a surface size of roughly 134 square kilometers. Small islands like Bird Island, Los Enamorados, El Salitre, El Chaparral, etc. appearing in an artificial lake is not all that remarkable, but it does provide a highly rich ecology of plants to the area. Beyond your view are vibrant cities like Colima, San Cristobal, San Francisco Lempa, San Luis del Carmen, and Suchitlan Lake, which is shared by four agencies in the North and South. Chalatenango, Cabaas, Cuscatlan, and San Salvador are all in the country's central region.
Some of the outstanding activities developed here are kayaking, swimming, diving, and exploring the small bird islands in the lakebed to discover the biodiversity here. It will take about 1 hour to go from the center of the capital to the lake, this place is not an economic development location for the whole country, but if you want to rent a small room, you can stay here overnight., you should look to some old hotels such as Casa 1800.
