Lake Wigry

In the Podlaskie Voivodeship in northeastern Poland, there is a lake called Wigry. In addition, Wigry is the name of a Polish 3rd Division soccer team, Wigry Suwaki, as well as a kid bicycle that was popular in Poland throughout the 1970s and 1980s.

About 80% of the shoreline of Wigry Lake, which is located in the Augustów Wilderness's forests, is covered by trees. The lake has 19 smaller and larger islands, and there are up to 26 different fish species that may be found there, including pike, trout, and bass. Since the lake and the land around it are part of the Wigry National Park, there are a number of rules that visitors must abide by. Since Wigry is a "zone of stillness," only police enforcement is permitted to operate motorboats on the lake. Only in authorized places are tents and bonfires permitted.

Lake Wigry is one of the most beautiful lakes in Poland. With its busy, forested lakes ideal for kayaking or boating, the reservoir provides great water sports conditions and is listed as a desirable holiday destination on several travel websites.

Cruises are a distinctive aspect of this magnificent body of water. While floating, you'll take in sights close enough to land for your senses to take it all in at once.
