Lancôme USA
Lancôme is a French-based global provider of luxury perfumes and cosmetics. It began as a fragrance house when it was established in France in 1935 by Guillaume d'Ornano and his business partner Armand Petitjean. The name "Lancôme", chosen by Guillaume's wife Elisabeth d'Ornano, was inspired by the woodland of Lancome, which is situated in the Indre valley in the Brenne region of central France. The company's logo, a single golden rose, was inspired by the local blooms.
At the Brussels World's Fair in 1935, Lancôme debuted its first five scents: Tendre Nuit, Bocages, Conquete, Kypre, and Tropiques. In 1936, Petitjean joined the market for high-end skincare products by releasing Nutrix, his first "all-purpose repair cream". He thereafter introduced makeup, cosmetics, and skincare items. In 1964, L'oreal bought Lancôme, and it soon joined the company's luxury goods business. The business sells cosmetics, skincare, and perfumes. They are well known for their mascaras, specifically "Hypnôse", and their Visionnaire Range, which has a proprietary component called "LR 2412" that is intended to improve the texture and color of the skin, particularly in terms of pore reduction, fine wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. Especially, La Vie Est Belle has been the top-selling fragrance in France's Lancôme Historic Market since 2014.
