Lavan Island

Lavan is a large island in the westernmost part of Hormozgan province, near the border with Bushehr. The island is shaped like an elongated oval, with a length of about 23 km and a width of 5 km, and it is one of the largest in the Persian Gulf. Lavan Island is about 20 kilometres from Moqam's port. Moqam is the best place to enter Lavan Island, and you can get there in about 30 minutes by fast boat from there.


Lavan Island is a residential island whose inhabitants are often engaged in fishing. Of course, due to the island's oil facilities, business is also active in this area. Lavan is an oil island, and as such, many parts of it are in the hands of economic activists. Lavan Island is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna.
