Levi's

The Levi's brand was founded by Levi Strauss (1829-1902), whose real name was Löb Strauß, a German-Jewish businessman of the Ashkenaz ethnicity. An important contributor to the history of Levi's jeans is Jacob Davis – a tailor from Reno, Nevada. He was the one who brought the idea of pressing copper buttons into the seams to make jeans stronger, and at the same time actively proposed a cooperation with merchant Levi Strauss. The year 1873 marked an important milestone in the history of the Levi's brand, the 501® jeans model was officially born after more than 140 years of existence. Levi's jean 501® is still the desire of fashionistas around the world. This is the brand's heritage product line.
