Lingnan College
Their history can be traced back to 1888 in Guangzhou, when their progenitor, the Christian College in China, was founded, and to 1967 in Hong Kong, when the school was re-established as Lingnan College. Forbes ranked Lingnan University one of the "Top 10 Liberal Arts Colleges in Asia" in 2015. They provide undergraduate, taught postgraduate, and research postgraduate programs in the arts, business, and social sciences, and their broad curriculum includes a variety of general education and interdisciplinary courses to give students a strong knowledge foundation in a variety of fields. They prepare pupils to think critically and imaginatively, to judge independently, to care truly, and to act correctly and responsibly in a quickly changing environment.
Faculty and students at Lingnan University are encouraged to contribute to society through research and information transfer. Their large pool of experienced scholars from the arts, business, and social sciences disciplines combine scholarly work with applied, policy-oriented research on topics such as finance, fiscal and monetary policy, cultural policy, creative industries, health and aging, population, and institutions and governance.
