The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University may be traced back to 1937, when the Government Trade School was established. The School, located on Wood Road in Wanchai, was Hong Kong's first publicly sponsored post-secondary technical institution. It offers studies in maritime wireless operation, mechanical engineering, and building construction under the direction of Mr. G. White, the then-principal. PolyU is known for its innovation, inventiveness, and entrepreneurial spirit. Internships and service learning are part of their custom-designed courses. Their students are learning the skills and obtaining the experiences they need to respond, adapt, and identify real-world applications for their information every day.
They collaborate with academic and industry partners to create strategic research initiatives in a variety of fields. Their research and development strategy is based on addressing real-world problems and developing new solutions. Their graduates graduate with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their chosen areas. This corresponds to strong employment rates, with over 95% of PolyU graduates finding work following graduation. Employers place a great value on PolyU students' skill set.
