Little Saigon
Little Saigon is a modest restaurant in Hauz Khas Market with vibrant teal walls, four small tables, and the most friendly staff. With French-era design, Little Saigon tries to honor the country's specialties. Visitors have a wide range of options, including vermicelli with boiling shrimp and mango, Saigon-style dumplings, grilled skewers, and the classic stir-fried morning glory with garlic.
They've made the most of their limited space. They include conical wall lamps, multi-colored seats, and tables that appear to have once housed sewing machines. The menu is small, but not in any way insufficient. Let's try the Goi Cuon Tom Thit, which are basically cold rice buns filled with beef and shrimp (there's also a tofu version). These are light and delicious, and they make a fantastic salad alternative. The Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream, which was infused with real strawberries, cream cheese, and even the biscuit base of a cheesecake, was the star of the meal. This is served with small jelly cubes. Also, for vegans, their menu may be intimidating because the majority of the items contain meat.
