London Eye - the biggest Ferris wheel
The London Eye is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe, one of the symbols in London, England that everyone wants to visit once, also known as the Millennium Wheel, located in Southbank, London. The London Eye got its name because it looks like a giant eye, where you can zoom in to capture the entire cityscape.
At an overall height of 443 feet (135 meters) above ground, the London Eye is considered to be Europe's Tallest Observation Wheel. The wheel has 32 pods representing the 32 boroughs that makeup London. However, they are numbered 1 through 33, with the thirteenth carriage removed for good luck. Built for millennium celebrations, the wheel is now a permanent fixture on London's skyline and remains one of the most modern symbols in the UK today.
