Love the pressure
When humans are confronted with a difficult scenario, what happens? Some people will shrink or give up, but many others will go on to accomplish great things and even surprise themselves. Why? Normal situations do not allow us to tap into our true potential, but when we are under pressure and know that our lives are on the line, we are more likely to give it our all.
Similarly, yoga takes you out of your comfort zone. The challenge of getting into a posture that requires focus and visualization, as well as breathing properly and quieting the mind — all at the same time — forces you to confront various aspects of your body, mind, and soul.
Before getting into the exercises, set yourself a goal and offer a reward for achieving that objective as well as a punishment for not meeting the aim. Putting pressure on ourselves, and love it, because that pressure to help ourselves develop better and get better, is not a bad thing. On the contrary, they help you get out of the comfort zone that you have been waiting for so long. So, give yourself a little pressure during yoga practice to become better and more perfect every day.
