Lusaka International Community School
Lusaka International Community School, or LICS, is a well-known school in Zambia. Established in 1993 as a non-profit school, it's dedicated to giving excellent education to students from different cultures in a caring and supportive setting.
LICS follows the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) curriculum, offering a range of subjects in various areas like culture, creative arts, and sports. If students want to attend LICS for 6th Form/A-Level, they are welcome. The courses at LICS follow the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) syllabus.
For the little ones aged 1 to 5, there's a pre-primary school with an early learning center and reception classes. LICS is committed to creating a great learning space and helping kids develop skills for school and life.
LICS is also for children aged 4 to 11 and follows the Cambridge Primary Curriculum for Maths, English, Science, Music, PE, ICT, and Art. Students in year 6 take primary checkpoint assessments, which are recognized internationally and assessed externally.
The school has upper and lower secondary levels for students aged eleven to sixteen. LICS provides quality education and a holistic teaching approach, preparing students for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). To help students figure out what degrees might be right for them, LICS offers various A-Level programs. These programs are usually studied over two years and qualify students for assessments by UK universities when applying for undergraduate degree courses.
